Midstate Lamp’s Innovative Lamp Produces Brighter, More Energy-Efficient Light
ARTHUR, ILL. – For years, users of propane lighting have been forced to settle for low-performance gas lamps. Most traditional lamps require heavy maintenance and produce a dim light, leaving the growing number of Americans who depend on propane lighting in the dark.
Now, Midstate Lamp LLC introduces Model 450, a gas lamp that rivals portable gas lanterns in brightness but runs on the same low-pressure gas line as household appliances – making it the most efficient low-pressure lamp on the market.
Model 450 puts out as much light as a 100-watt bulb and can be used to provide indoor lighting for cottages, cabins and other remote locations where electricity is unavailable or unreliable. It is also low-maintenance, requiring very little cleaning or parts replacement, and can be permanently mounted to the wall or ceiling. “
Model 450 has a unique, aerodynamic design that allows for the perfect mixture of air, gas and pressure,” said Samuel Schrock, owner of Midstate Lamp. “It is the brightest and the most efficient low-pressure lamp on the market.”
The lamp’s innovative burner tube and nozzle provide optimum flow, helping particulate the gas without losing the power of projection. Midstate’s quality control techniques ensure a high-quality and trouble-free lamp. To make the lamp durable, Midstate used rust-resistant stainless steel, aluminum and brass in its construction. Model 450 also features a polished aluminum dish that protects the ceiling from heat and reflects the light down and outward.
The lamp, which has a patent pending, has been tested and certified to meet criteria established by the American National Standards Institute. Model 450 retails for $99.95.The lamp includes a frosted globe, aluminum reflector, mantles and mounting flange kit. In addition, Midstate Lamp carries a number of accessories specifically designed for Model 450, including a ceiling mounting kit, replacement globes, mantles and more.
Customers have already discovered the benefits of Midstate Lamp’s newest product. After struggling to find a gas lamp powerful enough to light his central Illinois cabin, Lynn Marcus Miller recently switched to Model 450.
“It’s much quieter than other gas lanterns with comparable brightness,” Miller said. “And it’s also much more convenient. It runs on the same gas line as appliances, plus there is almost no maintenance. I will never go back to a lower quality lighting system.”
Midstate Lamp LLC, a manufacturer of gas lamps and accessories, is a sister company to Arthur, Ill.-based Midstate Machine Company. Midstate Machine has specialized in manufacturing metal parts since the early 1990s. |
