ATA's Michelle Doerr Picked for Prestigious Leadership Program
Michelle Doerr, ATA director of archery and bowhunting programs has been selected as a 2007-2008 National Conservation Leadership Institute (NCLI) Fellow. NCLI is an intensive, world-class leadership development experience offered each year to a select group of individuals identified by their nominating organizations as "high potentials." The Institute is referred to by many as natural resource conservation's "war college" because it will prepare the next wildlife conservation leaders. Estimates are that 75% of the current conservation leaders will retire by 2015 and this program is meant to prepare future leaders to fill those key positions. Doerr said, "This is a huge honor for me and I am grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to the connections and training I will gain from this experience, and am anxious to put them to work growing archery and bowhunting."
