2009 Industry Achievement Awards Announced by National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers ( NASGW) Winners Exemplify This Year’s Theme of “Opportunity In Action”
Reno, NV (November 4, 2009) – Michael Brown, Chairman of the Board of the NationalAssociation of Sporting Goods Wholesalers, stood before a packed ballroom in the Grand SierraResort this morning to welcome attendees to the Annual Meeting and Expo and to present thisYear’s winners of the NASGW Industry Achievement Awards.
The theme of the 2009 meeting is Opportunity in Action and Brown reminded those present to make good use of the time invested in this annual meeting. “The interactive nature of this Expo allows manufacturers and wholesalers to exchange ideas, obtain instant feedback and plan for the next 12 months,” said Brown. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of the next three days,” Brown added, “to create the opportunities that will move our business forward in the coming year.”
The highlight of the breakfast was the presentation of awards to the industry’s leading firearms, ammunition and accessories manufacturers, as well as the Chairman’s Award for Industry Leadership. NASGW wholesaler members evaluated the performance of top manufacturers on four key criteria – distribution policy; marketing, sales and promotion; logistics and operations; and NASGW and industry support. This comprehensive assessment of manufacturer performance has been designed to provide a more balanced appraisal that truly recognizes the best of the best.
The NASGW is proud to announce the 2009 winners:
