MINOX Introduces New Riflescopes with Uncompromising Value and Performance

MINOX, known for their high-quality binoculars, will introduce their first-ever riflescopes at the 2010 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Typical of the MINOX approach, they have created the new ZA 3 and ZA 5 scopes with the features hunters want most.

They begin with legendary German SCHOTT AG glass, fully multi-coated lens elements, precise windage and elevation adjustments, wide variable zoom ranges and argon-purged to prevent fogging and corrosion.

Image“We understand that deciding which riflescope to own can be a daunting task,” said Thorsten Kortemeier, managing director. “Because it's perhaps the most important hunting gear you ever purchase, and you'll be faced with lots of claims and price points, we've tried to make it easy to make the right decision for your needs.”

Crafted from lightweight but tough aircraft-grade anodized aluminum, these new MINOX scopes feature one-inch mono-tube construction for easy, low-profile mounting. Windage and elevation knobs are finger-adjustable, with precise reticle movements of ¼ MOA (or 1/8 MOA, Model ZA 5 4~20x50 only) and are zero resettable.

There are four variable-zoom models available – ZA 3 3~9x40, for lightweight rifles or close-quarters hunting; ZA 5 2~10x40, providing a versatile range for a variety of shooting situations; ZA 5 3~15x42, with the higher magnification needed for open spaces and extended shooting ranges; and ZA 5 4~20x50 SF, with objective parallax side focus adjustment for accurate long-range shooting or that “big country” trophy of a lifetime.

MINOX M* coating, with up to 21 layers applied to the surfaces of lenses, greatly improves light transmission, brightness, contrast, detail and color rendering.  Other features that make them easy and comfortable to use include long four-inch+ eye relief; rubber-cushioned fast-focus eyepiece; and  smooth-operating variable power ring enhanced with sure grip soft-touch rubber.

Each MINOX riflescope comes complete with a ScopecoatTM protective field cover. Recognizing that under tough field conditions, “stuff” happens, MINOX provides Total Coverage protection with every riflescope, covering repair or replacement with no questions asked. MSRPs will range from $539 to $869.
