Ellett Brothers Awarded Citizenship Award
Ellett Brothers captured the distinguished Academy of Excellence Citizenship Award for its leadership within the local community, as well as for state and national support. Each year, the award is given by the Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence.
An avid supporter of the Hunting and Shooting Sports Heritage Fund, Ellett raised $30,000 at its fourth consecutive silent auction, bringing the total 4-year donations to $160,000.
Ellett Brothers sponsors hunting and shooting programs for local schools and youth groups. Ellett Brothers is also an avid supporter of Irlene Mandrell's Celebrity Shoot for Wish Upon a Star and the Boy Scouts of America.
Rather than run from the issue of gun control, Ellett "led the pack" by sponsoring concealed weapons and permit courses for South Carolina Senators and Representatives, teaching South Carolina's legislature that gun ownership is a responsibility not taken lightly by members of the industry.
Community work does not always involve hunting and shooting sports - American Cancer Society's Relay for Life has experienced for years, the heart of the Ellett "family". This year, Ellett's "hunt for a cure" raised over $38,000.
Hewitt Grant, CEO and President of Ellett Brothers commented, " Ellett Brothers and all of our employees believe strongly in putting something back into the industry and community that has been good to us for many years; and supporting efforts that will preserve the future of the hunting and shooting sport. We also support many local community events, including the schools, Boy Scouts, Relay for Life and many others. If anyone is ever in need, our employees are always there to help. There is not a more caring group of people than the Ellett Brothers Employees. We want to do everything we can to preserve the future of our community and the shooting sports for years to come." |
