C.O. Arms Stinger Renamed, Now the Shield Millington, TN – C.O. Arms announced today that it has changed the name of the Stinger model 1911 to The Shield.

This name change came about in effort to remain unique and separate from other guns in this market. C.O. Arms did not want their model 1911 to conflict with, or be confused with, any other manufacturer’s model.

The name change will not affect any of the technical specs of this gun. The 1911 line offered by C.O. Arms will now consist of The Scorpion and The Shield. MSRP will also remain the same at $1499.
