Howa TALON™ combines the best performance features of a thumbhole stock with the recoil reduction that BLACKHAWK! has come to be known for in rifle and shotgun stocks. TALON uses a new two-stage recoil compensating system that reduces felt recoil by up to 70 percent.
Made of polymer and alloy, the TALON is durable, reliable and built to last. The large, skeletonized thumbhole allows for the heaviest glove while improving target acquision, steady firearm control and repeatability - time after time. This rifle is designed for deer, elk and predator hunters alike - and affords comfort through all rifle calibers.
The TALON is also offered as a combo gun with two different scope packages. The Standard Barrel model comes with a NikkoStirling 3-10x42 Nighteater, while the Heavy Barrel model is equipped with a NikkoStirling 4-16x44 Nighteater. Both scopes have duplex reticles and come with rings and a one-piece Picatinny-style base.
