Countdown to Black Cloud® Stormchasers Network 2.0 has Begun
ANOKA, Minn. – July 26, 2010 – The countdown to a new and improved Black Cloud Stormchasers Network 2.0 is underway. The clock is ticking (literally—visitors can see how many seconds remain before the big launch), the sky is darkening (again, literally—the background is darkening with the approaching storm) and things are changing www.stormchasersnetwork.com. On July 29, version 2.0 will be fully unveiled—with plenty of new features and custom content to keep members coming back for more
New Features Add Excitement, Incentive. Stormchasers 2.0 will feature several changes and improvements. New contests will keep members engaged and in the hunt—and another sweepstakes will make one lucky member a huge winner.
The site promises to intrigue new users, and those who are logged in all day. A new migration map and a much more intuitive and functional weather forecast tool headline several other exciting changes.
“We can’t wait until the launch of 2.0,” said Reed Stoven, Digital Manager for the Stormchasers Network. “We’ve spent months preparing fresh content, new contests and better features so members can have the most advanced waterfowling site. Last year’s site was great, but this new one is sure to make even the most involved duckaholics coming back to participate like never before.
Users Spoke, Black Cloud Listened.
"We learned a lot from online community," said Stoven. "Stormchasers members made comments and suggestions from day one-and we listened. We made several changes as the site was live last year and we took several other items back to the drawing board to help come up with 2.0"
A few areas where members said they wanted more have been changed. The new Migration Map allows users to give specific, detailed reports from the field. And the weather application is much easier to customize to the individual member.
Stormchasers Member Blog.
In its first year, Stormchasers Network had great participation from a large number of users. These duck and goose hunters created a waterfowl smorgasbord and quickly attained “Expert” status. And while new point levels will give even the most active members something to shoot for—Stormchasers 2.0 even features a blog from a member. BenelliReaper is one of the site’s best known members, and this year he’ll have a blog where he discusses dogs, ducks, blinds, ammunition and everything between.
