Minox Expands the Popular BV Series with Two New Compact, Waterproof Binoculars

For anyone looking for compact binoculars that deliver high-quality performance at a surprisingly affordable price-point, two new BV Series waterproof models from Minox provide a good answer.

Both the BV 8x25 BRW and the BV 10x25 BRW roof prisms are a very compact 4-3/16” x 3-7/8” x 1-1/2”, and weigh just 10.4 oz. Their aluminum body is armor-coated for protection and for a comfortable, sure grip.

 Being so compact does not mean these two new Minox binoculars are short on performance values. With the same new Minox optical system introduced with the first BV Series models, the new ones provide high image contrast and excellent detail rendition. All glass/air surfaces are multi-coated for maximum light transmission and stunning image brilliance without glare, and the prisms are fully phase-corrected.

Field of view for the 8x25 is 390 feet at 1,000 yards; for the 10x25, 315 feet. Close focus distance for both is 4'11”. Innovative sealing technology protects the internal system from dust and water -- waterproof to about 10 feet. Also, a Nitrogen filling ensures permanent protection against corrosion and prevents fogging. With their long eye relief (5/8”) these binoculars work well for those who wear glasses, allowing them to see the full field of view without vignetting. They come with a strap and a nylon case.
