Blaser USA Announces Retirement of Jack T. Muety
November 12, 2007 — Stevensville, Maryland — Jack T. Muety, CEO and President of Blaser USA has announced his retirement effective January 31, 2008. He is retiring with nearly 35 years experience in the outdoor sporting goods industry. Prior to his position with Blaser, Jack helped start Benelli USA and was the Vice-President of Sales and Strategic Marketing for Benelli USA and also served as the Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Beretta USA.
“The entire Blaser organization both in Germany and in the United States wish to thank Jack for this commitment to our company over the past 15 months” says Bernhard Knöbel, CEO of Blaser Germany. “Mr. Muety has formed the foundation that will allow the Blaser brand to be the top choice of hunters and shooters in the United States for the years to come,” stated Mr. Knöbel.
Mr. Muety also was the President of J.T. Muety & Associates, Inc., a top-tier manufacturers-representative agency in the hunting and shooting industry. He also served for five years as Director of National Sales for the Quaker Oats Co., where he was instrumental in thrusting the Gatorade brand into the national spotlight. Mr. Muety is also a member of the National Football League Alumni Association due to his play with the St. Louis Cardinals football club.
Mr. Muety earned a Bachelor of Arts and an Associates of Arts from Southern Illinois University. In addition, he completed business management coursework at the prestigious Warton School of Graduate Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Muety is an Eagle Scout and his 35 years of service to the Boy Scouts of America has earned him the distinction of the Silver Beaver Award.
