Dan Callen joins Kruger Optical, LLC, as national sales manager for Columbia Sportswear brand
Experienced industry professional to focus on introduction of riflescope, binocular, spotting scope collections
January 9, 2008 – Dan Callen, a leading sales manager in the sport optics industry, has joined optics provider Kruger Optical, LLC, the company announced today.
Callen will serve as Kruger Optical’s national sales manager for Columbia Sportswear branded optics products. As a licensee of Portland, OR-based Columbia Sportswear Company, Kruger Optical designs, manufactures and distributes binoculars, spotting scopes and riflescopes bearing the Columbia brand. Callen rounds out a team that includes engineering and marketing personnel with more that 150 years of combined experience in the shooting, hunting, and optical design industries.
Callen brings to his new position more than 17 years of experience in sales management and marketing, including 10 years experience in the sporting goods industry. Most recently, he served as national account sales manager for Bushnell Outdoor Products in Overland Park, Kansas, managing sales of Bushnell sports optics, accessories and sports eyewear.
He has also served as national account sales manager for Michaels of Oregon Co., promoting sales of hunting, shooting, camping and law enforcement products, and has extensive experience in optics sales.
“Dan will add depth to the sales and marketing team at Kruger Optical in many ways,” said Gary Williams, vice president of marketing and sales for Kruger Optical. “His extensive experience, his knowledge of the industry and his ability to build relationships are well known by those in the business.
