Announces A New Program for Gun Dealers

GunsAmerica, the online resource for gun buyers and sellers, today announced a new program for gun dealers called GunsAmerica Live Payments. It is part of a larger commerce platform rolling out before SHOTSHOW 2008. 

Live Payments is a way for gun dealers to take credit card payments online for gun transactions.  Gun Dealers can use a secure page on their existing website, through a new GunsAmerica Live Inventory Storefronts website, or even over the phone or email using a secure form on the internet gateway.

GunsAmerica has partnered with Electronic Transfer Inc., a middle tier provider of merchant accounts,  to offer not only competitive rates, but what GunsAmerica is calling "Clear and Consistent Rates." 

Paul Helinski, owner of GunsAmerica explains it as "The merchant credit card industry is full of smoke and mirrors. They advertise one rate and two months later you are paying twice as much, or they sign you up for a certain rate, then you find out that most of your transactions don't qualify for that rate and are being charged at two to three times that. We have partnered with ETI because for one, they are gun and 2nd Amendment friendly. This past week many merchants, including some large distributors, were shut off and their accounts frozen because much of the merchant account industry is based in anti-gun California based companies. The owners of ETI are gun owners and shooters and they have given us a great stable stable platform with which to integrate our merchant services. We initially found ETI because they are known for straight dealing. If they give you a rate, that is your rate, and all of the fees are clearly laid out and consistent. I do not believe you will find a better deal in a merchant account and I can promise you that if ETI examines your statements, they will be able to show you how you are not paying what you think you are paying and that they can match or beat any rate out there."

The merchant account with ETI is like any other merchant account and carries no fees from GunsAmerica, nor is it connected with your GunsAmerica account. The secure gateway is through FastCharge, a secure gateway owned by ETI, and it avoids Authorize.net , which has a no guns policy unknown to many who are using it today. 

Transactions can be through a secure web page, through a standard printer or wireless terminal that ETI will sell you at cost, or ETI will reprogram your existing terminal for free.  This week GunsAmerica is also launching the Beta of Live Inventory Storefronts, which are completely automated websites, using your own domain name and that can integrate a shopping cart and secure credit card page.
