Magnum Research announces a new twist on the ultra-lightweight, amazingly accurate MagnumLite Rifle: the MLR-1722M for .17HMR ammunition.  Hornady calls its .17HMR (Hornady Magnum Rimfire) round “the most accurate long-range rimfire ever made,” and the MagnumLite MLR-1722M rifle makes the most of it.

This unique, new operation systems is based on the principle of a patent-pending, gas-assisted blowback system that regulates time to peak pressure to eject the MLR-1722M receiver, precision-machined of aircraft aluminum, features an integral scope base, custom” French grey” anodizing and a target trigger.

The patented uni-directional graphite fiber construction of the rifle’s MagnumLite graphite barrel enhances accuracy and keeps the rifle’s weight to a sleek 5 pounds.
