More oatmeal, more coffee. More Band-Aids inside my shoes.

This time there was nothing for it but to make the trek to those outside exhibits, which took up two ridiculously huge tents in the parking area across Paradise Road from the Convention Center’s main building.
“OK, I’ll bite,” I said to Bullet Proof Electronics http://www.thesnipertarget.com/ president Lincoln Thomason. “What’s that?” It was clearly some sort of shooting target but set up such that it was unclear at first—to me, at least—for what function it was designed. “It’s for snipers,” he replied. “We used to do full-body targets, but they told us, all we aim for is the head.” It’s an electronic circular target, delivering sub-second lift times, and allows for the target to be hit at any time during the lifting process without damage. It can operate on un-level ground, is impervious to wind gusts, and can pull itself down out of the shooter’s view. Small and portable at only 33 pounds, it uses a remote control and has a variety of power options (DC, AC or solar). It’s also programmable, and can use any of a variety of customer-selected-size targets. Cool indeed!
Response Technologies, Inc. www.RTISafeBOX.com has the SafeBOX. Yeah; another locking box for your handgun, ho hum. But the design is definitely worth a second or third look. The key locks the container, for sure, but when the box is inside its metal sleeve, which in turn is hard-mounted to your cabinet, car seat, desk, or what have you, the locking mechanism also engages the outside frame and the box cannot be removed. Secure in your office, then removed and secure in your automobile, then secure again in your home. And all for about $100; extra sleeves for about $40 apiece. Cool!
