Two popular full size models — 8x43mm and 10x43mm — have been upgraded and improved. These Elites now feature new exterior styling with raised finger grooves and diamond checkering in the rubber armor for a better grip. In addition, new twist-up eyecups offer four locking positions to better accommodate individual preferences and those wearing eyeglasses. Despite the upgrades include a new, lower price. The 8x43 now retails for $779.95 and the 10x43 retails for $799.95.

The optical quality and rugged construction remain the same. Like all Elite binoculars, they feature a roof prism design constructed with a lightweight durable magnesium chassis. The Elite optical lens system for the ultimate in brightness contains PC-3 phase-coated Bak-4 prisms.

All lens surfaces are fully multi-coated and feature the exclusive Bushnell XTR^® coating system. This exclusive process produces the best possible light transmission plus full spectrum color fidelity and optical clarity. All external lenses are coated with RainGuard^®, a patented, hydrophobic lens coating that sheets away moisture ensuring a clear view in all weather conditions. The Elite 8x43 and 10x43 binoculars are waterproof with O-ring seals and they are nitrogen purged for optimum performance and clarity under any condition.

Bushnell uses magnesium in the chassis to reduce the weight without sacrificing durability.   The new 8x43mm and 10x43mm weigh in at 23 ounces so they are easy to handle and comfortable to carry.
