ImageCJ Weapons Develops Cleaning Systems for Remington 700

Tactical Cleaning Kit has Crossover use for Popular Hunting Rifle

The Remington 700 is one of the most versatile and widely sold rifles in the world. It’s the top tactical sniper rifle, but its accuracy and reliability have made the Remington 700 a standard in most hunters’ gun cabinets, too.

So, if everybody out there is shooting them, they also have to be cleaning them. This popularity was CJ Weapons’ motivation for developing two new cleaning systems for the Remington 700. The move marks the company’s first foray into cleaning products for the hunting market.

“I’ve heard hunters and tactical shooters complain about cleaning their 700s forever,” said CJ Weapons President Jon Morgan. “The regular round brush just doesn’t fit in the chamber properly, and people make do by using toothbrushes and Q-Tips. Our cleaning kits are innovations that both groups should be crazy about because they’re specifically designed for cleaning the Remington 700.”

Both kits also work for the Winchester Model 70, Ruger M77-Mark II, CZ 500 types, Savage 110 series, Tikka, Sako and all Mauser-type actions with the two opposing locking lug design.

ImageThe Chamber Maid Bow Tie Swab Cleaning Kit features compressed cotton swabs with a unique bow-tie shape to fit perfectly into the action. The kit includes a flexible swab rod with a T-handle, five bow-tie swabs and a .30 caliber straight brush. It fits all calibers the Remington 700 is chambered in and has a manufacturer’s suggested retail of $13.95 with 20 replacement swabs for $9.95.

If your Remington 700 has more fouling than a swab can clean, CJ Weapons has a Chamber Maid Bow Tie Brush Cleaning Kit. This kit features a unique bow-tie shaped brush with phosphorous bronze bristles of varying hardnesses to effectively clean stubborn buildup. It also includes a T-handled flex rod. The kit, which is currently available in .308 and 30-06, has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $15, with a replacement brush available for $4.50. CJ Weapons plans to develop brush kits for other calibers in the future.

Drawing on founder Jon Morgan’s 30 years in the Marine Corps, CJ Weapons specializes in the in-house design of cleaning and shooting accessories primarily for military weapons. The Remington 700 cleaning kits are among hundreds of accessories available from the supply house for military, law enforcement, sportsmen and collectors. The kits are available on the company’s website at www.cjweapons.com.
