Buck Adds LED Light To Make X-TractTM Multi-Tool Even Better

ImageWhat do you do for an encore when you've just made multi-tool history with the first convenient one-hand model? Well, Buck Knives has done it by adding a built-in LED light to their innovative X-Tract.

The new 731 X-Tract LED, which has just the tools you need, is the answer when you're operating in dim light conditions. It illuminates the area you're working on, or where you're going, with its bright 5mm LED, which has manual or auto shut-off. It's powered by two replaceable 3-volt CR-1616 lithium batteries.

In contrast to typical multi-tools, Buck's X-Tract has a serious full-size (3”) drop-point blade, one-hand access to all implements, and a traditional handle for better grip and leverage.

Designed in collaboration with renowned mountaineer Peter Whittaker, the 731 has spring-loaded needle-nose pliers with a wire cutter that cuts up to 10-gauge wire; a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a 3/16” slotted screwdriver that slide smoothly open and lock for safety; and an efficient bottle/can opener.

The steel-frame handle has thermoplastic sides, in a choice of black, platinum or blue. There's a stainless steel lanyard loop at the butt-end, and the 731 comes in a heavy-duty nylon sheath. MSRP $65.

As with all Buck knives, the partially serrated, 420HC steel blade has been finished with Buck's advanced Edge2xTM technology, which makes the blade sharper out of the box, hold an edge longer and easier to re-sharpen. And, of course, the 731 X-Tract LED is backed by Buck's unconditional lifetime warranty.
