With the donation to Honored American Veterans Afield are HAVA Chairman and CEO Tom Taylor, HAVA Learn to Shoot Again Director Rick Cicero, SIG SAUER Electro-Optics President Andy York.

SIG SAUER Electro-Optics presented a $40,000 donation to the Honored American Veterans Afield organization at the NRA Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas.

“Over the past several years, SIG SAUER has been a major financial contributor to the HAVA organization and provided products for shooting and hunting events,” said Andy York, President, SIG SAUER Electro-Optics. “At SIG SAUER Electro-Optics we wanted to do something above and beyond the current SIG SAUER commitment to help bolster the program and show our profound support for those that have defended our freedoms.”

HAVA is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2007 by a group of executives from the hunting and shooting industry to help disabled veterans and injured active-duty military returning from war heal, and reintegrate back into everyday life through participation in outdoor activities. HAVA sponsors guided hunts, shooting events, and outdoor activities across the country hosting hundreds of veterans annually.

“I have personally been involved with the HAVA organization since it was founded over 10-years ago and seen first-hand how positively its programs impact America’s heroes,” York continiued. “On behalf of the entire team at SIG SAUER Electro-Optics we are honored to be able to provide this contribution to HAVA so they can expand their programming to help more veterans.”
