Thanks to to an increase in manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies, iota Outdoors has reduced the lead time for custom stocks by more than 50 percent.

Customers can now expect shipment on custom stocks two and a half weeks from order date, down from six weeks.

“We know that more often than not a stock can be the pacing item for a custom rifle. For a custom rifle builder, that can be the deciding factor in how many projects they can produce in a year, directly affecting their income,” said Derrick Ratliff, president and founder of iota. “From the very beginning, the current industry standard of eight to ten month lead times was not acceptable to us. We have worked hard to lower our lead times and we couldn’t be more happy with a two-and-a-half week lead time.”

The KREMLIN and KRUX custom rifle stocks – launched in January 2016 and January 2017 – are composite molded and reinforced with a carbon fiber inlay for superior strength in a lightweight build. They feature molded-in colors and ports, custom-fit AirTech recoil pads by LimbSaver and machined pillars.

Both stocks are available in Remington 700 or clone actions and a variety of configurations including right or left hand, short or long action, BDL or M5 bottom metal, and various barrel channels. The stocks retail for $529.99.

Standard colors include Citadel Grey, Sentinel Green and Gobi Tan. Custom colors – with more than 20 color swatches to choose from – are available for no extra charge and without any additional lead time required.

The KREMLIN combines key features from both hunter and shooter stock designs to create one multi-functional precision stock for a wide range of experiences. Total weight for the KREMLIN is approximately 2.5 pounds.

The KRUX is built for the backcountry. A compact 28 inch in length and weighing only 27 ounces, the KRUX still maintains the appropriate structure to accommodate a full-profile barrel without compromising the integrity of the stock, maintaining accuracy over repeated shooting.

iota is now accepting dealers that may want to stock the KREMLIN or KRUX in their retail or online stores, as well as custom rifle manufacturers that may want to use the stocks on their rifle builds. Interested dealers should inquire about specials for new accounts.
