Steyr Arms USA Range Day Set For July 27

Free ammo and shooting at one of the top ranges in the country with some of the top shooters? Who wouldn't want to do that?

That's the layout for the Steyr Arms Range Day, which is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. on July 27 in Talladega, Ala. The event will be at the 500-acre CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park and is open to the public with free entry and free shooting.

The CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park is one of the most advanced outdoor facilities in the world. It boasts the latest technological advances and is a must-see destination for any firearm enthusiast. The park is open to the public, year-round, offering many opportunities to marksmen of all ages.

The 500-acre facility is located two miles from the world-famous Talladega Superspeedway. It features a 600-yard rifle range with targets at 200, 300 and 600 yards, a 100-yard multi-purpose range and a 50-yard pistol range. It also includes 15 action pistol bays and a trap field, 5-stand field and a 15-station sporting clays field – all with automated trap machines.

If you want hands-on experience with Steyr Arms USA firearms in person, and also maybe want to participate in some friendly competition, enter the free drawing to win Steyr firearms and receive factory discounts on products, the Steyr Arms Range Day on July 27 is the place to be. Steyr will be showcasing its full line of premium firearms for everyone to shoot free of charge.

In addition to the testing of firearms, attendees at the event can participate in some friendly competition in the “Sniper Challenge.” This event will cost $10. In order to be entered to win a Steyr 20-inch THB .308 McMillan Stock, participants must hit two targets — the first with an HS .50 BMG at 600 yards and the second with a Steyr SSG M1 .338 Lapua at an unknown distance. Attendees can enter as many times as they want.

Those not participating in the “Sniper Challenge” but who still want to shoot the Steyr HS .50 caliber or the Steyr SSG M1 will be charged a nominal $10 fee. If participating in the Challenge, these fees are waived.

For those who don’t want to compete, Steyr offers all attendees a chance to win something at Range Day. Everyone attending the event will be entered for a chance to win the last OD Green M9-A1 pistol brought into the U.S.
