Israel Weapon Industries has added a new rifle to its lineup: the DAN .338 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle. Developed in conjunction with the Israeli military, the new rifle will be officially unveiled at the Eurosatory 2014 Exhibition in Paris.

This new rifle, the first in a new line of bolt action guns, was designed especially for military and law enforcement agencies and is chambered in LAPUA MAG .338 for exceptional accuracy at up to 1,200 meters. It weighs in at only 13 pounds and is designed with ergonomic handling and comfort. It includes an adjustable, foldable stock with an adjustable cheek rest. It features a Picatinny rail for mounting accessories.

An adjustable trigger is standard and a clip-on sight and suppressor are available as optional upgrades. It has a 29 inch barrel and an overall length of 50 inches. Folding the stock reduces the length to 40.5 inches.

"We are pleased to launch a new sniper rifle at the exhibition, developed by IWI, which is the first of a family of sniper rifles that are currently in various stages of development," said Uri Amit, President and CEO of IWI. "The Company continuously invests in developing additional solutions for our customers and expanding our product portfolio, in order to meet every need and situation. We invite everyone to visit our booth and learn more about the rifle that will be on display."

The Eurosatory 2014 Exhibition runs June 16-24.
